Michael McDevitt (owner and director) was born in Southport, England. He has lived and worked in England, Ireland and Germany. He has 27 years experience in the decoration business. He ran his own successful decorating company in Germany for 10 years. (In Germany you need to be a Master in your trade if you want to start your own trade business!)
The Story behind the “Master Decorators”
Upon meeting his future wife (interior designer) Brigitte who lived in London the decision was quickly made. The "Master" had to move to London and "The Master Decorators" was born. With both of our businesses continuously learning and growing together, 14 years later the "Master Decorators" has a strong client base in central London. Due to our quality services, we are proud that 80% of our business is repeat business, resulting in long term relationships.

We don’t try and project ourselves as the ultimate high end interior design solution to all your problems. We are a Professional Painting and Decorating Company with a fantastic Interior Designer. We can guide you through the minefield of any Painting and Decorating project and most renovation projects.

The Master Decorators Ltd is a dedicated team of experienced decorators serving Central London's residential and commercial market.
Preparation is 70% of the Job. Not everyone can paint a room. The secret lies in the preparation. From taping up flooring, covering furnishings, sealing areas with plastic sheeting, sanding, priming, sanding again, using quality fillers, mastic, using the right paints and brushes for each job everything has to be done with skill and care.
We have built up a skilled team of professionals who are highly qualified, experienced, and friendly, and will treat your business or home with the utmost care and respect.
Each of our team of Professional Decorators have at least 10 years of experience. They all have to pass our quality control reviews and are continuously completing further training to ensure our high standards are maintained.
As a company, we have long established that our primary objective is to maintain high standards, delivering a quality product at a realistic price. This is achieved through our selection process which ensures that only those committed to skill and integrity are admitted and become part of The Master Decorators Team. This is how we build long term relationships and repeat business.
Health and Safety / Associations. We take health and safety very seriously and as such, all our team have valid CSCS cards and the company is an approved Safecontractor.
We are members of Dulux Trade Select, approved and guaranteed by Dulux (membership no 100299139).
We are Trust mark approved.

PROJECTS & SCHEMES
Initial consultation is free.
Three fee options are available depending on the scale, budget, and time frame of the project.
Design scheme per room: £275.00. Scheme will include, floor plan, and two computer aided visuals with estimated cost.
Sourcing, shopping, make over, is charged at an hourly rate - £45.00 p/hr.
A fixed job rate of 15% of the overall expenditure is charged when carrying out a full Interior Design refurbishment.
VAT is payable in addition.
